I’m a writer whose work appears in The New York Times, Wired, and Outside. For three years I served as managing editor and story editor at The Surfer’s Journal. I’ve also had stints as an editorial fellow at Wired and a contributing researcher on stories nominated for the National Magazine Awards. My first love as a reader and writer has always been fiction, and I have an unpublished novel sitting in the proverbial desk drawer. For now, I live in San Francisco (near where I grew up) but I’m currently accepting any/all good excuses to move to Chile.
